In her more than decade long career, Agaba, has engaged with, studied, taught, researched on, a series of interrelated areas including; gender, human rights, health law and policy, decoloniality, political leadership, governance, peace and conflict. Agaba holds a PhD in Public Law, from the University of the Western Cape, attained in August 2017. Her PhD interrogated legal, political, administrative and social accountability structures and their role in combating preventable Maternal Mortality and Morbidity in Uganda. Agaba also holds a Masters’ Degree in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa from the University of Pretoria, attained in 2013. Prior to her Masters, Agaba worked for a women’s interest organisation known as Action for Development (ACFODE) based in Uganda. She specially worked on women’s rights, governance issues, youth skilling and capacity building.
