Dr. Anna B Ninsiima

Anna is an experienced and self-motivated gender and policy analyst with extensive knowledge of academic work, development, and research. Anna has done extensive research; consultancies and capacity building in Gender, policy analysis, Gender and governance, sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence, among others. Anna’s post-doctoral research was funded by NORHED on a collaboration between Agder University Norway and Makerere University. She holds a PhD in Gender and Diversity from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, 2016-2019, and a Master of Philosophy from Bergen University Norway. Anna has taught Gender Studies and Development Studies at Makerere University since 2008. She has coordinated course programs, supervised/marked students (undergraduate, Masters and PhD). Anna is part of the college committee implementing (with Gender mainstreaming Directorate) the gender policy and sexual harassment policy at Makerere University.
