In June 27, 2023, the DHPI-R Project Director Prof. Peter Waiswa met with the DHPI-R team in Senegal based at the University of Dakar (UCAD). This visit was part of an ongoing collaboration with the university, with the aim to promote and advance digital payments research within the Francophone sphere.
During this enriching visit, Prof. Waiswa met and engaged with the project team led by the esteemed Prof. Adama Faye during which they discussed the current landscape of digital payments within the Francophone. They also discussed the research direction of the project and strategic approaches to further advance the use of digital payments for health workers.
Prof. Waiswa expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Adama Faye and the entire project team at UCAD for their warm reception and enlightening interactions.
